Weatherization Workshop with New York Power Authority (Dec 11th)

The New York Power Authority and St. George’s Episcopal Church are hosting a free, hands-on Weatherization Workshop on December 11, 2025, from 6:00–7:30pm at 14-02 27th Ave, Astoria.

Residents will learn practical ways to reduce energy use, lower utility bills, and make their homes more comfortable this winter. The session covers simple steps like using eco-friendly heating and cooling practices, improving water conservation, and optimizing everyday energy habits. Food will be provided.

Everyone who attends will receive a free Weatherization Kit, which includes items like caulk, shrink-wrap window kits, foam tape, night lights with photocell, a door sweep, hot water gauge, LED bulb, and more.
