REVEL Updates Their Service and Products

Revel, the MOPED service provider for New York City, has continued to enhance their services and products.

OANA has supported REVEL, especially since they voluntarily suspended service last year to enhance their safety procedures.

To our knowledge, these safety enhancements, including taking a picture of your helmet properly placed on your head before being allowed to operate a MOPED, have been successful in creating a safer environment for all concerned.

Now, REVEL has announced a new service: eBikes Subscription Services. You can subscribe to this service on a monthly basis.

This is a subscription service. Interested riders can sign up via the app. The bike will be dropped off at their home and riders will be responsible for storing the eBike. The eBike will be allowed to ride in permitted areas similar to CityBike.

These bikes are still pedaled manually, however their electric motor will assist the rider in completing his trip.

One major difference between eBikes and MOPEDS is that MOPEDS have to use the roads that automobiles and trucks use, while eBikes can utilize Bike Lanes.

For more information on these new and upgraded services, please read the Revel press release.
