Reforming NYC Community Boards (Op-Ed)
OANA Admin New York City’s community boards are meant to give neighborhoods a voice in decisions about development, parks, public safety, and more. But how power is structured inside those boards shapes whose voices are actually heard. In a new op-ed, OANA President Richard Khuzami examines how committee assignments and internal leadership rules may concentrate authority, as well as proposes a practical reform to help make boards more balanced and representative without overhauling the entire system.
