Upper East Side to Astoria Ferry Access

OANA has strongly supported the extension of the Astoria Ferry to originate at the Upper East Side Soundview landing . Please read our statement. The NYC EDC and Hornblower, operator of the Ferry, will be presenting at our next meeting on May 14th, at St George Episcopal Church, 1420 27th ave, Astoria NY, 7 PM. Please attend and register your support for this change.  RSVP@oana-ny.org

We urge that Community Board 8 in Manhattan support this, as it will be to the advantage of both Astoria and the Upper East Side. We also applaud the Durst Organization for spearheading this effort to create new economic opportunities.

In addition, OANA asks that the State and City get together to allow transfers between the Ferry and MTA. This would create a seamless transit system, to everyone’s advantage.
