The Astoria Park Pool Has Opened For Summer

Especially with the upcoming heatwave, taking advantage of one of our areas Iconic Landmarks makes sense.

And you will also get a chance to check out the great improvements! From the new deck where the closed diving pool used to stand to the combining of the soon-to-be-completed Chrybdis Playground with the Sprinkler Pool on the northern end of the pool facility.

We look forward to the day when the locker rooms and the terrace deck are renovated, and call upon our newly elected political leaders to make this a priority!

Richard Khuzami

Mr. Khuzami has been a member of Community Board 1 in Astoria, NY for the last 20 years. He sits on the Zoning and parks Committees and is on the Executive Board. Previously, he served as Parks and Culture chair of Community Board 1 for eleven years and also chaired Capital and Expense priority Committee. He is a member of the Queens General Assembly and had been a panelist for grant submissions for the Queens Council on the Arts (QCA). Richard also is an officer of The Eastern Mediterranean Business Culture Alliance (EMBCA) and President of OANA.
