Summer Solstice Party At Socrates Sculpture Park

Hard to believe that we are at the halfway point in the year, but on Wednesday June 21 it’s time to celebrate the longest day of the year at Socrates Sculpture Park from 5 pm to dusk. Performances on stage will include local breakdancers curated by Muta NYC and Baccalaureate School for Global Education’s Asian Fusion (Bollywood and K-Pop) dance club as well Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba rhythms and dance from Bombazo Dance Co, led by Milteri Tucker Concepcio. The evening will also feature face painting, workshops with artists from Socrates and the Noguchi Museum, and tours of the stars courtesy of La Guardia Community College. The party will finish with a solstice ritual performed by Urban Shaman Mamma Donna. Hope to see you there!
