Summer Celebrations at Socrates Sculpture Park
Socrates Sculpture Park has a full and exciting schedule this July. From Pride celebrations to the Summer Solstice and weekly mindfulness sessions, the Sculpture Park continues to be a vibrant meeting ground for all New Yorkers seeking connection, but particularly us here in Astoria and Long Island City.

Queerly Beloveds: Meditation for LGBTQIA+ Community

In collaboration with Mindful Astoria, Socrates launches Queerly Beloveds—a meditation and mindfulness group centered on LGBTQIA+ voices and experiences.
A Loom for Tender(ils) with Rowan Renee
Thursday, July 10 | 5–8pm | Free with RSVP
Join Artist Fellow Rowan Renee in the tree grove for a one-on-one weaving experience that aims to encourage presence and deep conversation. Hope you can attend.
International Girls Ensemble Youth Performance

The acclaimed Youth Performance Troupe is back with two powerful performances focused on friendship, storytelling, and courage.
Field Guide: Eye on Color with Christina Delfico
Saturday, July 18 | 11am–1pm | RSVP Required
This is a family-friendly program led by IDIG2LEARN founder Christina Delfico where you will discover how animals perceive color differently from humans—bees see UV patterns, hummingbirds love red, and green soothes our nervous system. This is a hands-on workshop.
Guelaguetza Festival with Ballet Folklórico Mexicano de Nueva York

Celebrate the annual Guelaguetza Festival, a vibrant Oaxacan tradition of dance, music, and community exchange.
