Socrates Sculpture Park News & Updates For May
OANA is very excited to share that The Socrates Annual 2025 season is launching soon at Socrates Sculpture Park. This year’s season centers around the park’s Fellowship program, which has been supporting early-career artists since 2001.
The 2025 Artist Fellows—Natalia Nakazawa, Pioneers Go East Collective, Rowan Renee, Catherine Telford-Keogh, and Zipporah Camille Thompson—will present new work responding to the theme “Up/rooted.” This concept explores how dislocation and resilience are intertwined, drawing on metaphors of growth, movement, and survival.
In addition to sculpture and installation, visitors should expect performances and events that will engage often overlooked parts of the park, encouraging new ways of seeing the space.
