Rainey Park Update

Many have been asking why Rainey park has not opened as anticipated in October. We reached out to Parks and received the following update:

“There has been a delay in the safety surface shipment. We recently received a partial shipment of the safety surface and expect to receive the remainder in late December 2024. In addition, due to the drought, the grass at the site is growing in patches and has not properly germinated. The team is working to resolve this issue. We expect that the remaining safety surface will be delivered and installed so that the project will be completed by end of January 2025. I know this is disappointing because we were hoping to get the full shipment at once.”

So it seems supply chain issues and the weather have been the culprit!

But we all look forward to enjoying the newly updated facilities very soon…
