Queens DA Working Towards a Solution on Motorized Scooters

In her February 5th press release, DA Katz discusses how her office, in collaboration with the NYPD, is addressing the issue of motorized scooters being used recklessly and for criminal activities we’ve heard about recently by confiscating unregistered and illegally parked scooters. In the past two weeks, 176 scooters were seized for illegal parking in areas with high pedestrian traffic. This effort is part of a broader initiative to enhance community safety and will continue to target these violations.
