[PETITION] Make Telehealth Permanent for Medicare and All Insurers

Telehealth has become a lifeline for countless people in our community — seniors, disabled adults, caregivers, and anyone who struggles to travel to the doctors office. It kept people healthy and safe during COVID, and it continues to make healthcare more accessible and affordable.
But unless Congress acts, Medicare’s telehealth protections will expire again on January 31st, 2026. That means millions could lose the ability to see their doctor from home. Clinics will get more crowded and preventable hospital visits will rise. Those who rely on virtual care the most will be hurt first.
There is already a solution: A bipartisan group in Congress, including Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, supports the CONNECT for Health Act, which would make telehealth coverage permanent and remove outdated restrictions that force people to travel even when they shouldn’t have to.
OANA is urging Congress to take action now.
Telehealth protects seniors and disabled adults, improves chronic care management, supports mental health, reduces healthcare costs, and expands access for low-income and rural patients. No one should lose access to their doctor simply because they can’t get to an office.
Let’s keep this essential service available to everyone who needs it.
Make telehealth permanent. Pass the CONNECT for Health Act.
