Permits Filed for New Mixed-Use Development on Main Avenue

Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 9-20 Main Avenue in Astoria, bringing 53 new residential units and ground-floor commercial space to our neighborhood.

The project will span 40,438 square feet, with 37,864 square feet for housing and 2,574 square feet for commercial use. The average apartment size is expected to be 714 square feet, which will likely be rental units. Plans also include 1,283 square feet of indoor recreation space and indoor parking spaces.

The filing lists Christina Xiaoping Chang as the applicant and Lu Ning Architecture as the architect.
