October at Socrates Sculpture Park
OANA is happy to share Socrates Sculpture Park’s October calendar, filled with free, community-focused events by our beautiful waterfront.
The Socrates Annual 2025
As the leaves turn and the season shifts, Socrates welcomes you to experience The Socrates Annual 2025 — the culmination of this year’s Fellowship program. This year’s exhibition features new site-specific works by Natalia Nakazawa, Pioneers Go East Collective, Rowan Renee, Catherine Telford-Keogh, and Zipporah Camille Thompson.
The Fellows explore the theme “Up/rooted,” reflecting on sustainability, adaptation, and renewal — timely questions as we move into the fall season. Wander the Park’s paths, enjoy the crisp air, and discover the artists’ work among the autumn colors.
Fellowship Anniversary
This fall marks the 30th anniversary of the Socrates Fellowship. As the Park looks ahead to its 40th anniversary in 2026, alumni Fellows will nominate the next cohort of artists. Participants will be able to choose their season — from Spring 2026 through Summer 2028 — with expanded financial and creative support. The Fellowship Open Call will resume in Fall 2027.
