NYC Initiative Soccer Field Opens at Triborough Bridge Playground

On Tuesday October 17 from 3 to 5pm, the first of the NYC Initiative Soccer Fields will open. In our borough, the soccer field will be at the Triborough Bridge Playground (Hoyt Avenue and 21st st on the east side), so stop by to celebrate the grand opening with the Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC, US Soccer Foundation, NYCFC, Etihad Airways, and Adidas.

NYC Soccer Initiative is a public-private partnership that aims to build, maintain, and program 50 mini soccer fields in underserved neighborhoods across the five boroughs by 2021.
