NYC Ferry’s Winter Schedule

If you are enjoying taking the new Astoria ferry service to work—or for pleasure excursions—it is likely that the winter service will be somewhat reduced to match an expected decrease in ridership, AMNY reports that the City Council was told last week.

While peak-hour ferry trips will not be affected, riders should expect fewer midday boats. It’s also possible that some rush-hours boats may feel a little more crowded as fewer passengers will be using the top deck in cold weather.  The new NYC Ferry landings will be made more comfortable for winter passengers with the installation of windscreens and infrared heaters.

To stay up to date on service changes and the winter timetable, we recommend that you download the NYC Ferry App.
