Noguchi February Events and Day of Remembrance

We recently received the latest newsletter from The Noguchi Museum, which highlighted several noteworthy events, including two opportunities for free admission. The museum invites the community to celebrate the Lunar New Year and to commemorate the Day of Remembrance.

Lunar New Year Celebration
On Friday, February 7, from 3–5 pm, the museum offers free programs to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Visitors can engage with Isamu Noguchi’s Lunar light sculptures through hands-on art-making activities.

Day of Remembrance
On Wednesday, February 19, admission is free in honor of the Day of Remembrance. This day reflects on the impact of Executive Order 9066, which led to the forced incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II. The museum will display special archival materials related to Isamu Noguchi’s own time at the Colorado River Relocation Center, offering a deep dive into this significant historical event.

These events are part of a broader series of programs and exhibitions at the museum, including mindfulness sessions, family art workshops, and distinctive exhibitions like Against Time, which runs through January 2026.
