Respecting the past, Building the future

A new luxury apartment building is coming to Astoria’s Welling Court. The 7-story project, at 11-07 Welling Court, will feature apartments with glass balconies and stunning views of the East River. The site will be just steps away from the new Astoria ferry landing and is surrounded by the vibrant street art of the Welling Court Mural Project.

Brett Harris, of Astoria-based AKI Development, reached out to OANA, with more details about the project: “We conceptualized the project as a market leader in terms of finishes, fixtures and design elements. The team incorporated the very best of everything – from custom made floor-to-ceiling windows, to radiant heat flooring throughout the apartments and common areas, to German individual unit boilers powering each apartment to reduce energy consumption. The project will bring an element of refined modernism to a stretch of the Astoria waterfront that is currently undergoing a renaissance. This will be the best building in Astoria when it opens in a few months. We anticipate demand for the units to be very strong, and already have a long list of perspective renters.”
