Marvels of Media Festival Celebrates Autistic Creators in Astoria
The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria is hosting the fifth annual Marvels of Media Festival from March 26–28, celebrating autistic media-makers. The festival features 28 new films, a video game, and a virtual reality experience, alongside panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions. Highlights include the opening night program with shorts like Don’t Look Out by Tal Anderson, feature films Autistic Mode – Dreamcatchers and Preface to a History, family-friendly animated shorts, and Dani Bowman’s DaniMation program.
Admission is free with RSVP, and the festival expands nationwide with partner theaters showcasing autistic creators’ work, emphasizing creativity, neurodiversity, and community.
