Family Fun at Rainey Park on June 2nd

Central Astoria LDC’s popular Family Fun at Rainey Park event returns on Sunday June 2nd from 12 noon to 3pm. Come join your neighbors and enjoy face painting, balloon art, and planting crafts, as well as performances by Music for Aardvarks, Claire’s Creative Adventures for Kids, and Wondersock Puppets. Location: Vernon Blvd and 34th Avenue.

The whole family will enjoy this action-packed day out in one of our beautiful waterfront parks. Family Fun at Rainey Park is made possible by Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer through the NYC Council Parks Equity Initiative.

Clare Doyle is a graduate of the M.A. program in Museum Studies at the University of Leicester, UK. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies as well as a B.A. in Archaeology and History from University Dublin, Ireland. She has worked for 30 years in library reference publishing in New York. Clare is the Vice President of Green Shores NYC, a non-profit group that advocates for a cleaner, greener and more connected waterfront in Astoria and Long Island City
