Council Costa Constantinides: The New term!!!!

Environmental Protection Committee and Budget Negotiating Team

Councilman Costa Constantinides has been re-appointed to Chair of the Council’s newly strengthened Environmental Protection Committee. Making our city greener and more environmentally-friendly will remain his priority. The newly expanded committee now has more members and a widened portfolio that includes our city’s recovery, resiliency, and preparedness efforts, with the goal of making NYC more sustainable and resilient by reducing reliance on fossil fuels as well as increasing use of renewable energy.

He has also been named a member of the Council’s Budget Negotiating Team, where we will work to ensure that our city’s budget provides adequate funding for programs and capital projects in all our neighborhoods.

He has also been appointed as a member of the Parks, Transportation, For-Hire Vehicles, and Land Use committees, and the sub-committee on Zoning and Franchises.

My State of the District Address

All are invited to join Costa’s State of the District Address to discuss our upcoming priorities. He will examine the progress our city has made over the last year and discuss my vision for our city’s future.
