OANA asks that you show your support for the Beacon Wind offshore wind project and support New York State’s clean energy goals by participating in the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management ( BOEM)’s NOI (Notice of Intent to prepare an environmental impact statement) Public Hearings virtually or in person or by submitting public comments!
Public Hearings will be held virtually on 7/13 and 7/26, 11am-1pm, via Zoom or in person 7/20, 6-9pm, at the Adria Conference Center Ballroom, 221-17 Northern Blvd, Queens, NY 11361-3600. To register visit here.

Beacon Wind will bring 1,230 MW of renewable energy to Astoria and invest in a new renewable energy hub at the Astoria Power Complex. The NOI Public Hearings are the first step in the multi-year environmental assessment of the project and part of a 30-day public comment period that ends July 31st.
