VBGCQ Updates

OANA recently received the latest newsletter from the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens, highlighting exciting updates and community impact across their programs. The Club is once again serving as an official charity partner of the New York City Marathon, with three dedicated runners set to take on 26.2 miles this fall in support of local youth. Their efforts will help raise critical funding to continue providing resources and opportunities for young people throughout Queens.

The newsletter also showcases meaningful work happening at the site level. At PS 171, students in Miss Gigi’s class focused on the importance of expressing their feelings and building communication skills. Meanwhile, the Teen Center is preparing for the upcoming Youth Empowerment Awards hosted by the Queens Borough President’s Office, recognizing young leaders who are making a positive difference in their communities. Together, these updates reflect VBGCQ’s ongoing commitment to empowering youth and strengthening neighborhoods across Queens.
