Liquor Licenses Now Available to More Business Types
In a recent announcement from the NYC Hospitality Alliance, we learned that the NY State Liquor Authority will now allow full liquor licenses for recreational facilities like pool halls, axe-throwing venues, VR arcades, board game cafes, escape rooms, art galleries, and more—not just bars and restaurants.
This change gives small businesses new opportunities to grow and better serve their customers. It also supports jobs, tourism, and local economic growth by letting more recreational and cultural spaces offer the full range—beer, wine, and spirits.
Thanks to SLA Chair Lily Fan for helping make this happen!
