NYC Sanitation Hiring Emergency Snow Shovelers for Winter 2024-2025

DSNY is now hiring Emergency Snow Shovelers for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Pay for this gig starts off at $18.54 per hour initially, then increases to $27.81 per hour after 40 hours worked within a week. Interested individuals should be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the United States, and prepared for physically demanding tasks.

Applicants can register for an appointment online at nyc.gov/snow to apply in person at one of DSNY’s garages. Required documents include two small photos, two forms of ID, and a Social Security card.
