Have Your Say in Queens Bus Network Redesign

The MTA is inviting feedback on the Queens Bus Network Redesign through a series of In-Person Open Houses across Queens. This effort marks a significant step towards modernizing bus services to better serve the community’s needs.

Engage Directly with MTA

The redesign aims to enhance bus reliability and accessibility. Key open house dates include:

  • April 18 at King Manor Museum, Jamaica
  • May 1 at Queensboro Community College
  • May 2 at Challenge Charter High School, Far Rockaway
  • May 9 at The Helen Marshall Cultural Center, Kew Gardens
  • May 16 at Variety Boys and Girls Club, Astoria

These events, running from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., are part of a broader effort to connect with the community, including pop-ups and mobile van visits.

Why Your Feedback Matters

Frank Annicaro, NYC Transit’s Senior VP of Buses, emphasizes the critical role of community input in crafting a bus network that meets Queens’ evolving transit needs.

Attendees can discuss the project, offer feedback, and see proposed changes first-hand. Those unable to attend can still contribute through the MTA’s online portal or the interactive Remix map.

Your Voice, Your Bus Network

The MTA’s focus on the May 16 meeting at the Variety Boys and Girls Club in Astoria highlights the importance of community participation. Starting May 9, the MTA will boost awareness to ensure widespread community input.

This initiative represents a vital chance for Queens residents to influence their bus service’s future. Engage with the MTA and help shape a bus network that aligns with your needs.
