Family Events at Noguchi in March

The Noguchi Museum invites families to explore the world of Isamu Noguchi through a series of engaging and creative programs designed for children of all ages. These events offer a unique opportunity to connect with art in an interactive and meaningful way.

Open Studio: Belonging

• Date: Saturday, March 9
• Time: 11 am–2 pm
• Details: A special session for families to delve into the materials from The Isamu Noguchi Archive. Participants will reflect on the theme of belonging as they explore Noguchi’s works in the galleries. This experience is available for families with children of all ages. Admission is free with museum entry, and no RSVP is required.

Art for Families: Discovery

• Date: Saturday, March 16
• Time: 10:30 am–12:30 pm
• Details: Designed for families with children ages 5–11, this program invites participants to engage in gallery conversations followed by a hands-on clay workshop in the Education Studio. The workshop aims to explore the visual and tactile textures reminiscent of Isamu Noguchi’s sculptures. Advance registration is necessary for this event.

Art for Tots (Ages 3–4): See, Touch, Taste

• Date: Sunday, March 24
• Time: 10:30–11:30 am
• Details: Tailored for preschool toddlers aged 3–4 and their caregivers, this session encourages exploration of artworks in the galleries and offers strategies for navigating museum spaces. The highlight of this month’s program is an exploration of colorful ceramics by artist Toshiko Takaezu. Participants will also have the chance to create their own edible paints and dyes using fruits and vegetables. Registration opens on March 10.
