Urban Upbound 19th Anniversary Gala Event

Urban Upbound, fighting poverty in public housing, had its gala on October 18th in Manhattan. The 19th anniversary event featured Executive Director Bishop Mitchell Taylor (Also OANA Board member). Highlights were the Rise Light and Power Mental Health Program, The Claudia Cogar Community Champion Award: given to Corinne Haynes, President of the Queensbridge Houses Residents Association, and the Honoree: Bernard Callegari, of Laborers Local 79.

Also speaking was NYC Mayor Eric Adams, plus other noted representatives such as State Senator Michael Gianaris and NYC Councilman Eric Gioia,
