Opening June 18 at the Noguchi – You will wonder if we would have been friends by Temitayo Ogunbiyi

This month, on June 18, a new exhibit is opening at The Noguchi Museum by Nigeria-based artist Temitayo Ogunbiyi. Titled You will wonder if we would have been friends, it marks her first U.S. solo exhibition. Drawing on Isamu Noguchi’s multifaceted identity and his designs for play, Ogunbiyi presents interactive sculptures, musical installations, and a community-informed outdoor work. The exhibition also features drawings and paintings inspired by Yoruba hairstyling traditions and botanical forms.

If you’re a museum member, there will be an opening reception on June 17.
