Gather Up Some Tickets for Hunting and Gathering

Local theatre group Headwall Theatre Company will present Hunting and Gathering, a comedy by Brooke Berman on February 27-29th and March 5-7th at 7 pm (Thursday-Saturday) at the Greek Cultural Center, 26-80 30th St, B2, Astoria, NY 11102. Directions: Take the N / W to 30th Ave Station at 31st St. Walk to 30th Street and Newtown Avenue.  The Center is on the left, just past Koroni Souvlaki & Grill.

Brook Berman is the author and director of Uggs for GazaUGGS which premiered at the Aspen International ShortsFest where it won Audience Special Recognition. All Saints Day, a short film she wrote, directed by Will Frears, won Best Narrative Short at the Savannah Film Festival and played at the Tribeca Film Festival. Directed by Michelle Orosz, Hunting and Gathering depicts the struggles of twenty and thirty-somethings trying to cope with limited income, apartment hunting, and forging relationships in New York City. Readers of our reviews of prior Headwall production The Other Place will know that a new Headwall production is a must-see!

Clare Doyle is a graduate of the M.A. program in Museum Studies at the University of Leicester, UK. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies as well as a B.A. in Archaeology and History from University Dublin, Ireland. She has worked for 30 years in library reference publishing in New York. Clare is the Vice President of Green Shores NYC, a non-profit group that advocates for a cleaner, greener and more connected waterfront in Astoria and Long Island City
