Check the Front Seat

The 114th Precinct is warning drivers in Astoria to remember to lock their cars and check for valuables on the front seats and in the glove compartments. Deputy Inspector Peter Fortune says that there have been more than a dozen cases of cars being broken into in the last two to three weeks.  DNA Info reports that the incidents so far have occurred in the area between 36th Avenue and Queens Plaza from Vernon Boulevard to around 29th St.
