Approved Design Plans For Whitey Ford Field

Community Board 1 in Astoria/LIC has approved design plans from the NYC Parks Department for the renovation of Whitey Ford Field!

This is the culmination of extensive work done by CB1, The Friends of Whitey Ford Field, and The Old Astoria Neighborhood Association to bring this field, named after Astoria native and baseball icon Whitey Ford, to a state that the whole community can enjoy. We also would like to acknowledge the contributions of the Whitey Ford Family, and especially Blair Clancy, granddaughter of Whitey Ford.

We look forward to many years of rewarding team sports in this facility with an unequaled view of the East River and the RFK Triborough/Hellgate Bridges.
