- NYPD 114th Precinct: Sector David NCOs: It has been a long wet hot summer in our neighborhood! Our Neighborhood Coordinating Officers, Joseph Esposito and Keith Matthes, will join us to answer questions about crime and security in Old Astoria and our waterfront. They also want to hear from you on any issues that needs to be addressed! There is no issue more important!
- The United States Postal Inspection Service, Queens Mail Theft, will discuss one of the trends that we have been seeing- the increase in mail theft from USPS collection boxes, a crime we refer to as “Mail box Fishing”. The US Postal Inspection Service along with the NYPD investigate these thefts. Postal Inspector Adam Yavner will present a few prevention tips regarding mail box fishing, and what to do in the event you are a victim of this type of crime.
- NYC Housing Preservation and Development: HPD promotes the construction and preservation of affordable, high quality housing for low- and moderate-income families in thriving and diverse neighborhoods in every borough by enforcing housing quality standards, financing affordable housing development and preservation, and ensuring sound management of the City’s affordable housing stock.Perris Straughter will join us to answer you questions and update us.
