Support the Return of Outdoor Cinema at Socrates Sculpture Park

For years, Outdoor Cinema at Socrates Sculpture Park brought neighbors together for free summer evenings filled with film, live performances, and food along the Astoria waterfront. If you’ve ever attended one of these screenings, you know just how unforgettable the experience is, with one of the best waterfront views in the city.

As the Park celebrates its 40th anniversary, Socrates Sculpture Park is working to bring back outdoor cinema with a new fundraising campaign. The goal is to raise $50,000 to help restore Outdoor Cinema and continue supporting the Park’s free public programming.

The campaign is being led by the Community Council, inviting residents, artists, and supporters to invest in the future of one of Astoria’s most valued public spaces. Monthly contributions help sustain exhibitions, performances, educational programs, and community events while making the return of Outdoor Cinema possible.
