Upcoming Dance Performances at Green Space, January 23–25
Green Space in Long Island City is hosting several dance performances this weekend featuring local and NYC-based choreographers.
Take Root Presents — January 23 & 24 at 8:00 PM
This program includes two works:
Nicole Kadar-Greene / NK&D / a movement company — between the balance
This piece explores how people try to stay grounded during uncertain times, originally created in response to the COVID pandemic. It looks at balance versus instability, strength versus vulnerability, and uses both live performance and technology as part of the storytelling.
Miho Ryu — Lighthouse
This work blends structured choreography with improvisation and is inspired by the idea of a lighthouse guiding people through darkness. It reflects on what dancers can offer to the world and what it means to live with awareness and intention. Miho Ryu is originally from Tokyo and has been based in New York since 2024.
