NYC Ferry Route Updates Coming December 8th
We’re excited to share that big changes are coming to NYC Ferry! The East River route will now operate as two separate lines, bringing more seating and shorter commutes during peak hours for Astoria residents.
A local route will continue to serve all East River stops during midday on weekdays and on winter weekends, ensuring full connectivity for Astoria residents.
Other citywide improvements include:
- Soundview and Rockaway routes combined for easier connections to Midtown and East 90th Street.
- St. George route expanded to link Staten Island with Brooklyn and the rest of the system.
- South Brooklyn route upgraded, offering direct Midtown access and more frequent peak-hour service.
- Upgrades planned for the East 34th Street landing, plus new landings in East Harlem and Sunset Park.
