E-Bike Trade-In Program for Food Delivery Workers
NYC’s DOT just launched an exciting new trade-in program for food delivery workers. With this new program, eligible workers will be able to trade in their old, uncertified e-bikes and dangerous batteries for brand-new, safe models—totally free. It’s part of a bigger plan to make the streets safer and cut down on battery fires we’ve been seeing more of recently.
DOT is also offering free help clinics to get through the paperwork and a quick online safety course to keep everyone up to speed.
Applications are open until February 17, 2025, and it’s all going down online with materials in several languages. So, if you or someone you know might qualify, don’t miss out on this great opportunity.
