Lottery for Affordable Apartments Near the Astoria Waterfront

A new building at 26-27 2nd Street, between 26th and 27th Avenues on the Hallets Point Peninsula has 6 units set aside as part of the city’s 421-A program. Four one-bedroom units will rent for $899 a month and two two-bedroom units will rent for $1,001 a month. The catch? You must meet certain income criteria (details in DNAInfo).

The building is owned by Ari Properties and is in a great location, in the heart of old Astoria and just a few blocks from where the new NYC Ferry service will start to run in August.

50% of the units in the lottery will be set aside for residents of Queens Community Board 1. The deadline to apply is June 26. You have to be in it to win it, as they say, so check out the NYC Housing Connect website today!
